On March 11, 2024, the Hanoi Museum, in collaboration with the School of Interdisciplinary Sciences and Arts (Hanoi National University), organized a workshop, "Dragon image in Eastern aesthetics". The seminar was part of the exhibition "Telling Dragon Stories in the Year of the Dragon," which introduced more than 100 documents and artefacts that clarified the dragon symbol in religious and belief architecture through the Hanoi Museum's collection of artefacts. The collection also includes dragons in contemporary fine arts, expressed through craft village products and unique handicraft products.

Fine Art, originating in prehistoric and early historical times, has always closely followed the nation's building and national defence process. Fine Art is one of the first art disciplines that prove the nation's cultural heritage, such as the carvings on the cliffs of Dong Noi cave over 10,000 years ago, belonging to the Hoa Binh culture and the carvings on bronze drums belonging to the Dong Son culture (especially the Ngoc Lu bronze drums) dating back 2500 -2000 years.

On the occasion of the 74th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam (February 3, 1930) and the Lunar New Year, Hanoi Museum opened two exhibitions and held many other activities on February 1, 2024.

A Summoning Tablet is the common name for a group of unique items issued by the royalty during the Le Dynasty; there are different tablet classifications depending on the material used to make the Tablet: Kim bai (gold Tablet), Ngan bai (silver Tablet), Moc bai (wooden Tablet), Thach bai (stone Tablet). Each Tablet within a tablet classification has a different function: Tin bai (token Tablet) and Lenh bai (task assignment Tablet).

The Hanoi Museum preserves a large quantity of Tran Dynasty ceramics of various styles. The number of brown patterned ceramics is smaller than that of celadon and white-glazed ceramics, but they have many unique features. Amongst these ceramics, the brown-patterned flower vase with the registration number BTHN 1500 is impressive.

The opening and award ceremony of the 2023 Vietnam Fine Arts Competition and Exhibition took place on the afternoon of December 6 at the Hanoi Museum.

On November 29, 2023, the 70th anniversary of the establishment of the Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences (December 2, 1953 - December 2, 2023), the Institute of Imperial Citadel Studies - Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences coordinated with the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports, Hanoi Museum and CMYK Vietnam to organize the exhibition "Deciphering the mystery of Kinh Thien Palace's architecture".

On the afternoon of November 21, 2023, the opening ceremony of exhibitions to honour the 18th anniversary of Vietnam Cultural Heritage Day (November 23, 2005 - November 23, 2023) took place at Hanoi Museum. Exhibitions included Giang Vo military school and Le Dynasty weapon collection, the essence of Vietnamese craft villages through the perspective of contemporary interior design and the history of the formation of the earth through fossil collection.

On November 21, at the Hanoi Museum, the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports, in collaboration with the British Council, hosted the conference "Hanoi Creative Cities Dialogues: Brand Building and Sector Development" as part of the Hanoi Creative Design Festival 2023.

The Hanoi Museum is preserving an ancient seal with the registration number BTHN 10305 - the seal is made of bronze and is still relatively intact. The bronze seal, which measures 10 centimetres tall and weighs 0.7 kilograms, consists of the knob, base, and face. Each side of the face is 7.5 centimetres long.
